Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation is a non-Governmental Organization with a country office in Nigeria. NEW Foundation is a legal entity, registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a non-political, not-for-profit, and non-governmental organization (CAC/IT: 33938) and also registered with the National Planning, (NPC) Abuja (NPC/NGO-IC/S.641/1/51) and with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Abuja (ID: 97987752). We have an 8-member democratic Board of Trustees and 8 technical board to support our work. We have five permanent staff and over 100 volunteers, who work to inspire
collective action towards environmental and social justice. Our programs address governance failures that exacerbate
environmental pollution, Land degradation, poverty, and hunger and their impacts on vulnerable members of the communities. Gender mainstreaming and equity drives our programming and interventions and we leverage on diversity for impact. NEW Foundation belongs to many networks both local and international such as the Nigerian Network of Non-Governmental Organisations (NNNGO); GEF CSO Network; Green Alliance Nigeria; Catalyst 2030 and CIVICUS to mention just a few. Our works have been supported by USAID/FHI360, UNOPS-UNDP, UNICEF and other national donors such as Global Rights Nigeria, and Centre LSD.
Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation, is an organisation with Special Consultative Status of the United Nation Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC).

Our Theory of Change is based on
models that drive systemic change. It is premised on the equality of rights to access social resources, capacity building, and empowerment, by removing root causes and
drivers of poverty and hunger.
