Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation with support from, and in partnership with the Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development (SCDDD) commences peace building and unity project across the 5 south eastern states of Nigeria. The project tagged "Imperative of National Dialogue for Peace, Security and Development" aims at identifying the root causes of insecurity, disunity and governance failure in Nigeria with particular reference to the South Eastern Nigeria. It further aims at peace building and solidifying our corporate existence that is built on justice, equity and inclusivity.
Participants from diverse fields and groups came to Owerri, Imo state to brain storm and incubate ideas that will promote lasting security, well-being and development of the region. Topical and well researched papers from egg heads and social actors were presented at the two-day dialogue meeting.
