Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation also known as NEW Foundation is a non-governmental Organization with a country office in Nigeria. NEW Foundation is a legal entity, registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a non-political, not-for-profit, and non-governmental organization (CAC/IT: 33938) and also registered with the National Planning Commission, (NPC) Abuja (NPC/NGO-IC/S.641/1/51) and with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Abuja (ID: 97987752). We have an 8-member Board of Trustees and an 8-member Advisory /Technical Board to support our work. our staff and volunteers, work to inspire
collective action towards environmental and social justice. Our programs address Climate Change, Agriculture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Democracy, and Governance. We work with community members, national and subnational
governments, and donor partners to empower vulnerable and marginalized members of the community.
Through participatory programming, we build platforms for social inclusion and impact-driven social change. Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation, is an organization with Special Consultative Status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC).
Our Theory of ChangeOur Theory of change is premised on the 3 models that drive systemic change: equality of rights, harnessing and documenting community-level expertise, and knowledge sharing. Our approach is through research, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
