collective action towards environmental and social justice. Our programs address governance failures that exacerbate
environmental pollution, Land degradation, poverty, and hunger and their impacts on vulnerable members of the communities. Gender mainstreaming and equity drives our programming and interventions and we leverage on diversity for impact. NEW Foundation belongs to many networks both local and international such as the Nigerian Network of Non-Governmental Organisations (NNNGO); GEF CSO Network; Green Alliance Nigeria; Catalyst 2030 and CIVICUS to mention just a few. Our works have been supported by USAID/FHI360, UNOPS-UNDP, UNICEF and other national donors such as Global Rights Nigeria, and Centre LSD. Neighbourhood Environment Watch (NEW) Foundation, is an organisation with Special Consultative Status of the United Nation Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC).
Our Theory of Change is based on
models that drive systemic change. It is premised on the equality of rights to access social resources, capacity building, and empowerment, by removing root causes and
drivers of poverty and hunger.
